Palliative Care WA Inc invites all health professionals, volunteers and consumers to join us for the Western Australian Palliative Care Conference:

- Wollaston Conference Centre
- Wollaston Road, Mt Claremont.
The conference theme, ‘At the coalface’, recognises the importance of the day-to-day contributions of clinicians, volunteers and health consumers in providing excellent care and support for people living with terminal illness.

The Conference Keynote Speaker is Professor Ken Hillman, Professor of Intensive Care at the University of Sydney and Director of the Simpson Centre for Health Services Research. Professor Hillman's research involves actively re-engineering health services, with close clinician involvement, and evaluating complex interventions. He recently published a book about his professional experiences called 'Vital Signs: Stories From Intensive Care', and was interviewed by ABC television's '4 Corners' for their program called 'A Good Death', which screened on 8 February 2010. Professor Hillman's trip to Perth is generously supported by Silver Chain, our Conference Keynote Sponsor.
